What is the Peterborough Employment Resource Centre?

About UsThe Peterborough Employment Resource Centre is a self-help centre which provides current resource materials, equipment and professional assistance from qualified staff to individuals conducting a self-directed job search. All of these services are provided at no cost to any member of the community and surrounding area.

How Does The Centre Work?

Upon registration with the Resource Centre, you will receive an information package. This includes:
  • A two-pocket portfolio
  • One free pen and CD
  • Information sheet on employment related programs and services
  • Rules of Conduct for the centre
  • Client registration card that is to be scanned each time you use the centre

Staff will be available to assist you with resume and cover letter development, offer advice on job search techniques and provide labour market information. Resource Centre Staff may also refer individuals to other agencies for further assistance or program information. All services are provided on a first-come-first-serve basis and no appointments are necessary.
